Why Upgrade to GFC?

GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate)
Understanding GFC
GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) is a non-surgical hair restoration treatment. A small amount of your blood is processed in a closed tube to extract growth factors, including VEGF, PDGF, EGF and IGF-1. These are injected into the scalp at the depth of the hair follicles, where they can help weakened follicles grow stronger hair.
Because GFC is made from your own blood, there are no added drugs or chemicals. It still isn’t right for everyone, so Dr. Gulati reviews your medical history and scalp before suggesting it. In the right patient it works as a scalp rejuvenation therapy: it can reduce shedding, thicken existing strands and improve the health of the scalp.
We use GFC for early thinning, diffuse hair loss, pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) and hair fall after pregnancy. If you’re looking for a GFC treatment clinic in Gurgaon, or searching for GFC treatment near me in Sector 46 Gurgaon, you’ll find us in Jal Vihar Colony.
GFC can also be used on the face for selected skin-quality concerns. Read about GFC for skin rejuvenation.
The GFC Process
A GFC hair therapy session takes 60 to 75 minutes from start to finish. Here’s what happens, from the blood draw to the injections.
01
We start by examining your scalp with trichoscopy, a magnified scalp camera. It shows the pattern of your hair loss and how healthy the follicles are, which tells us whether GFC is likely to help.
02
We draw 10 to 20 ml of blood from your arm, much like a routine blood test. Nothing else is added, and everything is done in a single-use, sterile closed-tube kit.
03
The sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate a concentrated growth factor preparation (VEGF, PDGF, EGF, IGF-1). It's more concentrated than standard PRP and doesn't need a gel activator.
04
We apply a numbing cream to the scalp so the injections are more comfortable. Most people feel only mild pressure or pin-pricks.
05
The GFC is injected across the thinning areas with very fine needles, at the depth where the hair follicles sit, so the growth factors reach the follicles directly.
06
We finish with a soothing scalp spray and give you written aftercare instructions. A full course is usually 3 to 4 sessions, 4 weeks apart, with a maintenance session every 6 to 12 months.
Ideal Candidates
Our advanced hair therapy in Gurgaon can help several types of hair loss. These are the ones where GFC tends to work best.
Male and female pattern hair loss, the most common type. GFC can slow it down and help regrowth in thinning areas, especially when started early.
Thinning all over the scalp. GFC can thicken existing hair and help weaker follicles become more active.
Hair fall after pregnancy usually recovers on its own, but GFC can help if it's heavy or slow to settle.
Shedding after stress, illness or crash dieting (telogen effluvium). We look for the trigger first, and GFC can help the hair cycle recover.
Tried PRP without much change? The higher concentration of growth factors in GFC sometimes helps people who didn't respond to PRP.
GFC is often used alongside a hair transplant to support healing and regrowth in the transplanted and donor areas.
Why Choose GFC?
Why people choose Advanced GFC treatment in Gurgaon as their hair loss solution, and what you can realistically expect.
GFC is prepared from your own blood, with no added drugs, chemicals or steroids. Allergic reactions are very unlikely.
The closed-tube kit concentrates growth factors to higher levels than standard PRP, which is why we often turn to it when PRP hasn't done enough.
Most people go back to work the same day. The scalp may be tender for 24 to 48 hours. There's no surgery and no stitches.
Results build over a few months and can last a year or more after a full course. A maintenance session every 6 to 12 months helps keep them.
GFC works on the follicles themselves, improving their blood supply and the signals that keep them growing. If something else is driving your hair loss, like low iron or a thyroid problem, we treat that too.
GFC can be combined with minoxidil, finasteride or a hair transplant. For many people, the best results come from using it as part of a fuller plan.
What to Expect
GFC takes time. Here’s the typical timeline for hair regrowth treatment, though everyone moves at a different pace.
Week 1–4
Reduced Shedding
Many people notice less hair fall within the first few weeks.
Month 2–3
Early Response Review
Fine new hairs often start to appear at the hairline and in thinning areas.
Month 4–5
Progress Review
Hair starts to look thicker and the scalp shows through less.
Month 6+
Follow-Up Review
Results usually peak around this point. We compare trichoscopy images with your first visit to measure the change.

We use digital trichoscopy to map your hair loss and measure changes in density over time, so your progress is measured rather than guessed from photos.
Your treatment is planned and carried out by Dr. Jaspreet Gulati, MD (Dermatology), not passed on to a technician.
We use certified, single-use GFC kits with the standard closed-tube protocol. We don't dilute or modify the preparation.

Common Questions
Straight answers to the questions people ask us most before booking.
GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) is a non-surgical hair restoration treatment made from your own blood. A small blood sample is processed in a special kit to extract concentrated growth factors (VEGF, PDGF, EGF and IGF-1), at higher levels than standard PRP. These are injected into the scalp to support weak follicles, encourage new growth and strengthen thinning hair.
A full course is usually 3 to 4 sessions, 4 weeks apart. The exact number depends on how advanced your hair loss is, your age and how you respond. Many people notice less shedding by the second session. After the course, a maintenance session every 6 to 12 months helps keep the results.
GFC for hair costs ₹9,000 to ₹15,000 per session. The total depends on how many sessions you need and how much of the scalp is treated. You'll get an exact quote at your consultation, once we've examined your scalp. A package for a full course costs less than paying session by session.
We apply a numbing cream first, so most people feel only mild pressure or pin-pricks. Afterwards your scalp may be tender, a little swollen or red for 24 to 48 hours, which settles on its own. Most people go back to work the same day or the next.
GFC is not a permanent cure for hair loss, and it is not better than PRP for everyone. GFC is more concentrated and contains fewer cells, and some people who did not respond well to PRP may be considered for it. In suitable patients either may help reduce shedding over a course of sessions, but results vary, and the underlying cause of hair loss usually continues, so maintenance sessions and other treatments may be needed. PRP costs less and may suit milder thinning; we'll tell you which, if either, makes sense for you.
GFC needs follicles that are weak but still alive. It won't regrow hair in areas that have been completely bald for years, or where scarring has destroyed the follicles (scarring alopecia). We don't recommend it if you have a bleeding disorder, a platelet problem or an active scalp infection, or if you take blood thinners. Your consultation will tell you whether you're a good candidate.
Yes, and we often recommend it. GFC works well alongside minoxidil and finasteride. For hair transplant patients, it's sometimes done 2 to 4 weeks before surgery to prepare the scalp, and again afterwards to support healing and regrowth. We'll plan the combination around your hair loss and goals.
